Today, the James Beard Foundation released its list of semifinalists in the 2014 Restaurant and Chef Awards.
The finalists will be announced on Tuesday, March 24 and the ultimate winners of the Chef and Restaurant awards will be announced at the official Awards Gala & Reception on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
This year, The Grand Del Mar was honored twice; it's fine dining flagship, Addison, was nominated in the Outstanding Wine Program category and executive chef William Bradley is a semifinalist in Best Chef: West.
This is the third James Beard nomination for Addison's wine program; Bradley was nominated in 2010 and 2012. Prior to his post Addison, he was nominated twice as a James Beard Rising Star Chef when he worked in Scottsdale, Arizona. When reached for his thoughts on today's announcement, Bradley shared, "The James Beard Awards has meant a lot to me since the very beginning of my journey as a chef. It is truly a special moment to see your name and restaurant on the nominations list. I am very grateful".
