NORTH PARK— The fifth iteration of The BLVD Market is scheduled for this Friday, February 20 from 6 to 10 p.m. and it's gonna be a special one. The monthly outdoor food fest, organized by the El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association and held at 2855 El Cajon Boulevard, will feature 12 food vendors and live music by the Basement Collective. The Heart & Trotter Butchery will be serving up bites and sharing a sneak peek at their new storefront, which should officially open later this month, and there will be preview samples from Native Spirits, the new beer and spirits shop/eatery that's headed to the Boulevard later this year. The seafood-centric lineup includes fish and chips with beer and chestnut honey mustard paired with Hess' Grazias Vienna Cream Ale and mole-spiced swordfish with hominy cake and roasted poblano served with the brewery's City Park Strong Ale. KEARNY MESA— In celebration of the Year of the Ram, Jasmine Seafood Restaurant is organizing a Lunar New Year gala on Friday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m. The $50 ticket price includes an eight-course lobster dinner, live entertainment and lion dancers.
