$1.50 Ice Cream Sandwiches at CREAM & World Curry's Holiday Fundraiser

AROUND TOWN— CREAM just expanded into San Diego this year but the Bay Area-based company is celebrating its fifth anniversary. To celebrate, all locations of the dessert chain are offering a special throwback price on ice cream sandwiches today until closing. The Pacific Beach and College area shops will have ice cream sandwiches using housemake cookies and other baked treats, for $1.50 each. [EaterWire]

PACIFIC BEACH— World Curry is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday, December 17 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. that will benefit the San Diego Hunger Coalition and its initiatives. 20% of proceeds from a prix fixe dinner, which includes Christmas lamb curry, gingerbread ice cream and sake pairings, will be donated to the local organization. The eatery will also be collecting shelf-stable food items to donate to Feeding America San Diego and the San Diego Food Bank. [EaterWire]

MIRAMAR— On Friday, December 18 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., AleSmith Brewing Company will be featuring limited editions of its well-respected X Extra Pale Ale infused with everything from orange to chilies at its new tasting room. Stop by between 4 to 7 p.m., when member of AleSmith's brewing team will be giving free guided tours of the production facility every half-hour.
