Liberty Station Adding New Beer Tasting Room & Coffee Bar

Plus, a retail component.

Moniker Group

San Diego-based design and real estate company Moniker Group, has just acquired the lease on their newest endeavor -- a formerly uninhabited historic building in Liberty Station's up-and-coming north end Arts District.

The multi-use concept, Moniker General, will house a coffee bar, beer tasting taproom and modular retail store. Moniker Group will spearhead the design, build and fabrication of their new collective concept, which is located directly across from Stone Brewing Co. Slated to open in February 2016, the proposed build-out will feature a 4,200 square foot open-concept interior layout and a 1,200 square foot outdoor patio. Ryan Sisson, CEO of Moniker Group says:

"We couldn't be more excited about expanding our roots into Liberty Station. There's so much growth taking place within our community - we're looking forward to sharing our creative vision and contributing a place for young people to come together and socialize."

Operated by Moniker Coffee the concept's coffee bar will pour a variety of small-batch local producers, including Copa Vida from the the East Village, in addition to hard to find specialty roasters from outside of San Diego. Partnering with Miramar's 32 North Brewing Company, Moniker General will also create a unique taproom to highlight the brewery's favorite small batch creations and seasonal selections. While the retail component will feature a curated selection of quality goods from a variety of local businesses including Lone Flag and Moniker Made.

Moniker General also joins the ranks of the highly anticipated new class of concepts currently marching into Liberty Station including: Liberty Public MarketFireside by The Patio GroupBuona Forchetta, and the newly announced Breakfast Republic.
