Stella/Halcyon Anniversary Party, Hiring at The Headquarters

Plus, more sushi for Del Mar.

EAST VILLAGE— Stella Public House and Halcyon are celebrating a milestone first anniversary with a party for the public on Tuesday, December 8 from 8 to 10 p.m. The two restaurants, which look onto the new Faultline Park at 14th and Island, will be serving complimentary bites and sips from both menus. THE HEADQUARTERS— Flour & Barley Brick Oven Pizza, the Las Vegas concept that's replacing Pizzeria Mozza, is scheduled to open in January. The restaurant's owners, Block 16 Hospitality, are hosting a job fair this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (December 1-3) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 789 West Harbor Drive, when they'll be accepting applications and interviewing candidates for a variety of FOH and BOH positions, including managers, sous chefs and pizza makers. DEL MAR— Revitalized Del Mar Heights complex Beachside Del Mar has signed up Boto Sushi, which plans to open there in Spring 2016; its owners operate an existing Boto Sushi in Carmel Mountain as well as Sushiya in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. The Japanese restaurant plans on offering some non-sushi dishes, as well as local beer on tap and a large sake and soju collection. [EaterWire]
