With hungry crowds gathering on the regular at Breakfast Republic, which opened in June in North Park, Johan Engman has announced that he will be opening a second location of the morning-centric eatery in Liberty Station, where he already operates an outpost of his popular Fig Tree Café.
Breakfast Republic is bringing its pancakes and egg-based creations to the 1,520-square-foot space that was previously Sushi Mura and will build out a new 600-square-foot patio. Engman plans on getting a full liquor license at this location, so expect an all-day cocktail menu; while the North Park restaurant is daytime-only, open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Liberty Station will extend its hours into the evening and serve light fare with cocktails and beer.
