Vote for San Diego's Hottest Restaurant of the Year

Which new restaurant is so hot right now?

On Monday, November 16, Eater will present the winners of the 2015 Eater Awards, our sixth annual celebration of all that's made the San Diego restaurant world run — and run wild — in the past 12 months. Winners will be selected on both the local and national levels in five major categories, and the voting begins right now. The polls are now closed for Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year and Bartender of the Year.

Next up? Which restaurant is So Hot Right Now?

Here's a primer on the nominees. A discussion of the year's hottest openings has to include Bracero, Little Italy's sparkling showcase for the flavors of Baja and the neighboring nightlife wonderland, Kettner Exchange. The best thing to happen to Balboa Park in recent memory, Panama 66, just celebrated a banner first year. Vegan food, deftly presented in a polished setting, is bringing diners in droves to Cafe Gratitude. And the beach finally has a great cocktail and food spot to call its own in Galaxy Taco.

Here's how the voting works: Eater editors have named nominees in San Diego for each of five major categories. Eater readers will vote, narrowing the nominees to three finalists. From those three finalists, the Eater editorial team will select a winner. Ready to play your part? This poll will be open for 24 hours; voting irregularities will be strictly policed.
