Vote for San Diego's Restaurant of the Year

Which restaurant will come out on top?

On Monday, November 16, Eater will present the winners of the 2015 Eater Awards, our sixth annual celebration of all that's made the San Diego restaurant world run — and run wild — in the past 12 months. Winners will be selected on both the local and national levels in five major categories, and the voting begins right now.

First up: Restaurant of the Year.

Here's a primer on the nominees. Bracero fever hasn't waned since it opened to serious fanfare this summer, with chef Javier Plascencia well-positioned as a dynamic beacon of the Baja food movement. Adding much-need variety to the local Italian food landscape, Catania shows off seasonal ingredients while maintaining its link to authenticity of cuisine. After a wildly successful year in Little Italy, Kettner Exchange proves that a chef-driven menu and a booming bar scene can co-exist. Less than 20 seats, a chef and his grill; Yakitori Taisho is a testament to specializing in one thing and doing it deliciously right. Galaxy Taco, the first new restaurant in two decades from the George's at the Cove team, is making a statement with Modern Mexican food that's both thoughtful and accessible. With that, San Diego, enjoy a photo gallery of the nominees and cast your vote.

Here's how the voting works: Eater editors have named nominees in San Diego for each of five major categories. Eater readers will vote, narrowing the nominees to three finalists. From those three finalists, the Eater editorial team will select a winner. Ready to play your part? This poll will be open for 24 hours; voting irregularities will be strictly policed.
