Beer & Salumi at Thorn Street Brewery; Blush's New Chef

NORTH PARK— Thorn Street Brewery's Beer Week events will be capped off on Saturday, November 14 with a collaboration with local crafters The Meat Men. The salumi and beer pairing, which starts at 12:30 p.m., will feature a selection of artisan salumi and garnishes and four eight ounce samples of Thorn Street beers. Tickets are $25. [EaterWire]

GASLAMP— Daniel Barron just exited Blush Ice Bar + East-West Kitchen and an insider told us that the downtown eatery has already hired a new chef. The restaurant confirmed that Jimmy Tessier will join Ami Cisneros in the kitchen; Tessier was most recently executive chef at Local Habit, which shuttered in Hillcrest last month. [EaterWire]

LITTLE ITALY— Kettner Street wine bar The Flight Path is hosting an event entitled Napa Rocks! in conjunction with the Napa Valley Vintners Association on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. The association's Connor Best will give a presentation following by a tasting from three of the region's well-regarded wineries, Grgich Hills Estate, Shadowbox Cellars and Trefethen Family Vineyards.
