Stone honors brewers, Pacifica's restaurant week, Red Door's quarterly dinner.

ESCONDIDO— Meet Stone Brewing Co. brewmaster Mitch Steele and Toshi Ishii of Guam-based Ishii Brewing Co. and celebrate the release of Baird/Ishii/Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA on January 13. Fans will have an opportunity to mingle with two of the talented brewers behind Stone’s famed collaboration beer, while also sampling the beloved IPA a day after its nationwide release. 6 to 7 p.m. [EaterWire]

MISSION HILLS— This quarter The Red Door hosts a Farmers, Friends & Fisherman dinner, featuring a marriage of cuisine by Chef Karrie Hills and guest chef Flor Franco, with Baja wines curated by Fernando Gaxiola of Baja Wine + Food and The Red Door's own wine guy Mark Wheadon. Also in attendance: San Diego fisherman Dan Major, who brings the sea to the table. DEL MAR— Chris PowellPacifica’s new executive chef, is coming strong out of the gate with lunch and dinner menus for his first Restaurant Week with the 25-year old restaurant. Lunch features two courses for $20, beginning with starters such as Ahi Tuna Poke with avocado mousse, tobiko caviar, sesame soy marinade and sesame crackers.
