A beer pairing dinner, meaty Mondays and a new cooking class.

MISSION HILLS— Brooklyn Girl Eatery is hosting Societe Brewing Company for a beer dinner scheduled for Monday, January 12. A welcome reception starts at 6 p.m. with the brewery's Harlot and tray passed apps, followed by a five course, beer-paired dinner by executive chef Colin Murray that includes roasted quail en croute, braised lamb belly ravioli and black pepper-crusted prime beef. UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS— Mondays just got a whole lot tastier. Small Bar has launched a new weekly Steak Night that'll kick in at 5 p.m. every Monday. LA JOLLA— Tecate's famed Rancho La Puerta is debuting a new culinary demo series entitled "The Baja Kitchen" that will be hosted bimonthly at Westfield UTC's PIRCH. Hosted by the executive chef of ranch's cooking school, Denise Roa, along with guest chefs, the event will showcase Baja California and farm-to-table cuisine and include food tastings.
