What Are San Diego's Classic Restaurants & Iconic Dishes?

New, 1 comment

What has withstood the test of time?

Coming up on Eater, we'll be dedicating the week to the Classics.

Even though we cover breaking news and the hot restaurants of the moment, we want to pay tribute to the tried-and-true restaurants of San Diego that helped to establish our food scene and continue to feed us, decades later.

Since your food memories might go back longer than ours, we want to hear from you. What are some of San Diego's oldest, still-standing restaurants and most iconic dishes worth highlighting? We're looking for the best of the best in our city's classic restaurants and places, from Baci Ristorante and its black tie-clad waitstaff to the signature mussel bisque at Dobson's Restaurant.
