Anthony Sinsay (Harney Sushi, Burlap), who recently returned to San Diego after a stint in L.A., cooked a homecoming meal last night as part of AD Nightclub's new Dinner Club series.
Sinsay, a native San Diegan, announced to the crowd assembled that he was home to stay and revealed that he'll be joining the Jake's Del Mar kitchen as its new dining room chef, where he'll share cooking duties with Jake's executive chef Duvinh Ta.
T S Restaurants, the hospitality group behind Jake's, owns 13 waterfront restaurants in California and Hawaii. A new outpost of their Duke's concept is in the works in La Jolla, where it'll move into a renovated building on the Top of the Cove's former Prospect Street lot. When the two-level Duke's opens this summer, Sinsay will transfer there to take up his new post as the restaurant's executive chef.
