Croce's Australian Wine Dinner and Roppongi's Sake Pairing

BANKERS HILL— On Tuesday, January 27 at 7 p.m., Croce's Park West is hosting a five-course wine dinner featuring three ounce wine pairings with each dish, including a 2012 chardonnay with truffle ricotta gnudi and a 2011 shiraz-grenache-mouvedre blend served with a grilled rosemary lamb chop. Croce's sommelier Michael Simpson and the Australian winery's Mike Malcom will be on hand to lead the event. [EaterWire]

LA JOLLA— Gekkeikan sakes will be the featured sips at a pairing dinner schedule for Wednesday, January 28 at 7 p.m. atRoppongi Restaurant & Sushi Bar. Executive chef Alfie Szeprethy will cook up a $50, four-course dinner that includes  duck breast with sparkling sake, and rice wine match-ups with sushi rolls and seared scallops. [EaterWire]

CARMEL MOUNTAIN— nékter Juice Bar recently opened a new location at 11975 Carmel Mountain Road, Suite 606 and will be throwing a grand opening shindig on Saturday, January 31.
