Owner/head brewer Charles Perkins just sent over a peek at his just-opened tasting room for Kuracali, the craft beer and sake brewery that he's been building in San Marcos since last year.

Tucked into an industrial park at 175 Bosstick Blvd #104, the new tasting room is now open every Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 8 p.m. Perkins is still finishing construction on the sake producing side of the facility, but is already serving his first beer, Kuracali Mellow Brown, 5.5% ABV beer with noble hops, soft water, and British malt, and more brewing is in the works to fill their tap lineup.
