Newly soft opened in Twisted Manzanita Ales' new Mission Boulevard tasting room, a 1,400-square-foot offshoot of their main brewery in Santee.
Here, there are $5 flights of their core beers or full pints to sip on and bottles, cans, growlers and kegs available to-go; the 23 taps will stock their flagship beers and standard seasonals, as well as experimental beer made just for this location.
There's no food available, but Twisted Manzanita encourages you to pick up food from neighboring eateries; Duck Dive, Dirty Birds, Oscar's Mexican Seafood and Bare Back Grill are all within steps of the tasting room and on Tuesdays, the brewery offers $1 off pints when you bring in takeout.
Marketing rep Nina Izadi says that the brewery wants to help increase craft beer presence in the neighborhood as well as tap into the tourist market, now that Twisted Manzanita is available across the U.S. and overseas. They're waiting to see how this satellite tasting room is received, but the company's intends to open additional tasting rooms that will help them connect more directly to consumers.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for this Saturday, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a full lineup of specialty beers brewed for the occasion, plus complimentary food from local restaurants.
