Calling all chefs and restaurateurs...have a winning idea and no place to put it? How about a 2,000-square-foot space in the heart of University Heights?
Nick Zanoni, the principal owner of Normal Heights' Sycamore Den is seeking a new food concept for a property that he owns at the corner of Park Boulevard and Meade Avenue (4404-4406 Park Blvd.). The 2,000-square-foot ground floor of the building would house the eatery; Zanoni's also looking for partners to help create a co-working space above the restaurant.
His proposal for the remodel of the building has already been approved and the site is zoned for an ABC license, kitchen and patio; construction will begin once the new food tenant has been identified. Interested parties should contact nickzanoni@hotmail.com.
Meanwhile, Zanoni and his team are still looking for the right space for their own concept, which was originally intended to replace La Gran Tapa on B Street but has since fallen through.
