New Breakfast; Chef Showdown; Celebrate the Craft

DOWNTOWNCurrant American Brasserie in The Sofia Hotel just rolled out a new breakfast service, now available Monday through Friday from 7 to 10 a.m. that features piping hot beignets with a variety of sauces to choose from, including Nutella creme, lemon curd and bacon and pecan-infused maple syrup, plus farm stand skillets filled with eggs and local produce to sausage, pulled pork and more. BAY PARK— The 10th annual Chef Showdown is this Thursday September 18 at the San Diego Harley-Davidson Showroom (4645 Morena Boulevard). Two teams of chefs and bartenders, including Ironside Fish & Oyster's Jason McLeod, pastry chef Lori Sauer from George's at the Cove and Snake Oil Cocktail Co. will square off in a live cooking competition.
