Whisknladle Hospitality, which counts three Prepkitchen restaurants and La Jolla's Whisknladle among its holdings, has scored a new corporate chef who will oversee all kitchens. Jason Hotchkiss joins the San Diego team after four years as executive chef of Bottega Louie, the much-acclaimed gourmet market and eatery that first opened in downtown Los Angeles in 2009.
Hotchkiss, who has over 30 years of restaurant experience, replaces Sam Burman, who is now revamping the menus as the new chef de cuisine at the Grant Grill.
He's also set to collaborate with creative director/chef Ryan Johnston on the group's next restaurant, Catania, the Italian-inflected concept that's planned for an early 2015 launch.
