Fig Tree Anniversary; New Happy Hour; Treasure Chest Fest

GOLDEN HILLCounterpoint just launched a tempting new happy hour menu of small bites, ranging from $3 to $6, that are now available from to to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; chef Rose Peyron is cooking up southern fried cauliflower, beef cheek rillettes, queso fundido and more. There's also a new cocktail menu of drinks priced from $5 to $7 being shaken and stirred from 10 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday that runs from a shot of Fernet to their signature Counterpoint Cup made with gin, Pimm's, lemon, ginger and lemon verbena. MIRA MESAGreen Flash Brewing Co.'s annual Treasure Chest Fest, a breast cancer fundraiser and their largest rare beer event of the year. is scheduled from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 6 and will feature nine rare beers, 11 casks, 13 local restaurants and the release of the Treasure Chest 2014 barrel-aged beer, a saison with plums.
