Green Flash Expands Production, Taps New Tasting Room

Green Flash Brewing Co. has confirmed earlier reports that the Mira Mesa-based brewery has leased a new site in Poway. The 12,275-square-foot space will reportedly be used to extend the Green Flash brand, focusing on the production and distribution of cork and cage beers that are barrel aged and/or bottle conditioned, as well as rare one-off and experimental beers.

The company, which recently announced that it would establish a presence in Europe, had previously selected the East Village for expansion, but chose not to move forward with that site.

We're hearing that the new Poway location will include a tasting room, outdoor beer garden, event space, plus some sort of food component; it's estimated to be operational by early 2015.

Meanwhile, their new East Coast facility in Virginia Beach, VA is moving forward with an official groundbreaking scheduled for October 13 and a scheduled 2016 opening.
