After joining MIHO Gastrotruck in early 2013 and overseeing all the culinary operations under their A MIHO Experience umbrella, head chef Rocio Siso Gurriaran is moving on.
Siso Gurriaran, who worked at the Michelin-starred Casa Marcelo in her native Spain, has also cooked at Tapenade in La Jolla and North Park's Smoking Goat.
Next month, she returns to NINE-TEN in La Jolla, where she previously sous cheffed from 2005 to 2009. Siso Gurriaran says that besides the ocean view from the kitchen, she's looking forward to being able to work with the best ingredients and cook and learn alongside NINE-TEN's executive chef Jason Knibb, whom she calls "the best chef south of LA".
