Catering company Le Parfait Paris, which can also be found at local farmer's markets, debuted its first brick-and-mortar shop today in the Gaslamp.
The company, which has a commercial bakery in the Mission Gorge area, is backed by French SDSU and USD grads. The pastry chef, Jean François Fays, is from the south of France; for the new cafe, he's baking up everything from croissants and breads to custom-made cakes, tarts and pies. The cafe will also stock macarons, tiny sugar-topped puffs called chouquettes, and light lunch and dinner options.
Operating hours ad Monday through Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
