Panama 66, the new in-house eatery within The San Diego Museum of Art, is still in its soft opening phase, with more design work to be completed in time for a scheduled grand opening in mid-September.
The craft beer specialists behind Blind Lady Ale House and Tiger!Tiger! are running the new spot, which is currently serving lunch on weekdays (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and weekend brunch (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). Though food service will end at 3 p.m. daily, starting this Friday and continuing every Thursday and Friday, Panama 66 will now be open until 8 p.m., providing bar service that includes ten craft beers on tap, wine and craft cocktails. Co-owner Jeff Motch says they should have an all-new bar installed by mid-August, with all their beer taps (about 20), fully activated.
