Napizza, a popular pizzeria in Little Italy whose menu revolves around pizza al taglio, or Roman-style pizza by the slice, moves ahead with a planned expansion with the launch of their second eatery, opening this week in Rancho Bernardo's 4S Commons Town Center.
Co-owners Giulia Colmignoi and Christopher Antinucci have a third eatery in the works, which should be up and running in Hillcrest's Uptown District center on University Avenue by Fall 2014.
Beyond their pizza, available by the slice or as large, rectangular whole pies, Napizza's North County outpost will also have a "build-your-own" salad bar stocked with organic produce from area farms; the menu also includes vegan soup and focaccia panini. All new is a gelato bar that'll feature seasonal, homemade flavors.
