PACIFIC BEACHKarl Strauss Brewing Company is debuting a new collaborative series, dubbed B.A.M! that'll bring together beer, local art and local music. Held at their main tasting room and beer garden, the first event, scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. this Saturday, July 26, is free and will feature the psychedelic surf-rock band Barbarian, and art from Thumbprint Gallery. A selection of Karl Strauss' specialty and small-batch beers, plus street tacos, will be available for purchase. [EaterWire]

LA JOLLACusp Dining & Drinks' World Cocktail Club Series, held on the second Tuesday of every month, is next scheduled for August 12. This time, the $35 three-course dinner (cocktails included) features the cuisine of Spain with a menu from chef Donald Lockhart and head bartender Chris Burkett that features paella paired with an apple brandy-based drink and fried cinnamon pastries and chile-spiced chocolate ice cream served with Spanish rosé infused with fresh cantaloupe syrup, lemon juice and raspberries.
