After a brief shutter, The Patio on Lamont Street has reopened in Pacific Beach with more indoor and outdoor seating, a new culinary garden for the kitchen and a full-service espresso bar powered by a local coffee spot that will collaborate with The Patio's bar on caffeinated cocktails.
A seared risotto cake with orange-balsamic gastrique and heirloom tomatoes with pine nut-rasin relish have been added to their Meatless Monday menu and new herb garden-inspired cocktails include the Living Wall with thyme-infused gin, orange bitters, honey, orange and lemon.
The Patio on Lamont is gearing up for a National Tequila Day pairing dinner on Wednesday, July 23 hosted by Patio general manager and certified catador (master tequila taster) Chris Simmons. The five-course dinner, from chef de cuisine Andre Fuentes includes grilled corn puree with smoked pork belly and cantaloupe relish and agave-glazed smoked duck breast and poutings of Don Fulano Tequila. The Patio on Goldfinch will be doing their own tequila dinner on July 24; tickets are here.
Eater readers have been asking us for an update on The Front Porch, The Patio's new gourmet shop in Mission Hills. We're hearing a grand opening is scheduled for August 14.
