Downtown Hotel Revamp Includes New Restaurant

Remember the depressing and dated bar/restaurant in the Sheraton Suites downtown? The hotel, adjacent to Copley Symphony Hall, was taken over by new management last fall and is now The Declan Suites, which just emerged from a through renovation that includes a newly updated 12 floor lobby and a completely different and modern bar and restaurant with a music theme called Deck 12.

Your new after work spot is a 5,400-square-foot "great room" that includes a restaurant, bar & lounge and private meeting space; the central space houses a bar with five taps of all local beer, communal lounge seating and alcoves that range from a "quiet room" called The Library that's lined with old LP's to a more formal dining area. Joshua Soth, a chef who recently relocated to San Diego from Chicago, is finalizing a menu that's based on regional food, mainly shared plates highlighting local produce.
