The Lost Abbey Plans New North County Tasting Room

Today in thrilling beer news, we can report that The Lost Abbey is in the home stretch to be able to move forward with a brand new tasting room they have planned for Cardiff.

A meeting at city council chambers, scheduled for later this month, will ask for the public's final vote of approval on the project before the brewery can begin construction.

The Lost Abbey's Adam Martinez told Eater that if all goes well, the Belgian-inspired brewery will aim to have the new tasting room open by the end of July. It'll keep similar hours to their San Marcos location, and though there's no room for food trucks, patrons will be welcome to bring in outside food. Regarding the search for a second production facility, Martinez says they're still looking for the right spot.
