New Mediterranean Bistro to Brew Their Own Beer

The Middletown complex that currently houses 57 Degrees Wine Bar & Store and The Brew Project is adding another tenant. Allegro Bistro is taking over one end of the building and will encompass an 800-square-foot dining room, a patio along the front of the building, and large, 900-square-foot covered patio out back.

Scheduled to open in mid-June, the 110-seat restaurant plans to serve "Mediterranean Riviera meets California style cuisine". It'll first launch with breakfast, brunch and lunch before expanding into dinner service with a menu of dishes from Italy, Greece, France, Spain, Turkey and more.

Diners will be able to buy a bottle of wine at 57 Degrees and open it in the bistro for a small corkage fee and Allegro Bistro will use a hobby-sized brew system to make a small amount of beer in house for some of their eight taps.
