After a few preview evenings, Don Chido has officially opened downtown and will launch their lunch service at 11 a.m. on Friday.
The latest concept from the RMD Group (Sidebar, FLUXX) is a partnership with Ken Lovi (Knotty Barrel Gastropub) and exec chef Antonio Friscia (Stingaree, Gaijin), whose menu is mostly traditional Mexican dishes composed with produce, seafood and meat cooked on the kitchen's large-scale wood-fired grill.
Don Chido's Taco Tuesday features $2 tacos (carne asada, chicken, carnitas) and $5 margaritas while the weekday 4 to 7 p.m. happy hour includes half-off appetizers (salsa sampler, nachos) and $2 beer.
