AROUND TOWN— Eater's partial to negronis, so we're jazzed about Negroni Week, happening around town through Sunday, June 8. Participating San Diego bars, including Craft & Commerce, Polite Provisions, Sycamore Den, CUCINA urbana, Jsix, Cat Eye Club and more will donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of negronis to local charities. Craft & Commerce is featuring two negroni variations, one made with rye and another with hibiscus vermouth, and donating $1 for each drink to the Media Arts Center. [EaterWire]
CLAIREMONT— A tipster wrote to let us know that Don Diego's Taco Bar has switched names and is now calling itself Balboa's Tap House (4421 Genesse Ave). The switcheroo happened last weekend and the menu includes new sandwiches to go with their 32 rotating taps. [EaterWire]
BARRIO LOGAN— The inaugural Food for the Fight event to support the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk will be held at Sushi on a Roll on Sunday, June 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets include food and drink from Carnitas' Snack Shack, HG Sausageworks, Blind Tiger Cocktail Co., URBN ST.
