The Japan-based hospitality group that's planning a new restaurant in the East Village 1220 J Street) has confirmed that they will be putting a robata concept in the space, with a robata grill and an open kitchen displaying fresh ingredients. The company is busy with their just-opened Gyoro Gyoro Izakaya Japonaise in Palm Springs and managing partner Yuji Ueno told Eater that their San Diego opening will likely be pushed back to later this fall.
