One of the most anticipated projects in the East Village's booming restaurant landscape is Bottega Americano. It's currently under construction and on track for an August opening in the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, which has a student meal plan arrangement with the eatery.
The 8,000-square-foot space is being designed by Thomas Schoos (Puesto, Searsucker), and here's your first glimpse at a rendering of the sleek and modern Italian-inspired space.
Executive chef David Warner (JRDN) and partner Giuseppe Ciuffa, (Giuseppe Restaurants and Fine Catering) are collaborating on Bottega Americano's menus and the creation of "interactive food bars" (a la Eataly) with everything from pizza and pasta, to seafood, salads and sweets being prepared fresh at different venues throughout the restaurant.
In addition, there will be a full-service restaurant and bar, a takeout area, a patio and retail concept selling gourmet products.
