Karl-Strauss.jpgKarl Strauss Brewing Company has announced the winner of its fourth annual Pro-Am competition, who will get to brew their beer on a commercial scale and have it submitted to October's Great American Beer Festival's Pro-Am contest. Carlsbad resident Robert Masterson scored the top prize for his "Hops Til You Drop" Double IPA and also took third place for his British-style Barleywine. All winners will be given prizes today at happy hour in the main Karl Strauss Tasting Room; the public's invited to the meet-and-greet, where you'll have a chance to taste some new beer and take home $8 growlers of your favorites.
