18|8 Fine Men's Salons, a national concept which was founded in Orange County in 2002, is headed to San Diego and bringing beer.
The first local outpost opens in Rancho Bernardo's 4S Commons Town Center soft opens today; owner Joel Block intends to open two more within the next three years and eventually 15 to 20 salons all over San Diego County.
18|8 specializes in "upscale men's services" and each treatment, from a haircut to a shave, comes with a neck and shoulder massage and a free beer (or wine) to sip as you get groomed. Block says he won't exclusively stock craft beer in the kegerator housed in the salon's waiting area, but promises that local brews will make it into the rotating lineup.
