The owners of the East Village's Cafe Chloe have announced the hire of a new executive chef. CIA-grad Jason Roberts, who has worked in kitchens from New York to San Francisco and cooked locally at the must-admired and much-missed El Bizcocho and Blanca, joins the French-inspired bistro after serving as chef liaison for Rancho Santa Fe's Chino Farms.
Most recently, Roberts and a former Blanca colleague have been putting together sold-out pop-up dinners at The Tin Can.
After ten years with the restaurant, beloved head chef Katie Grebow, will now be focusing on her own private chef services; Grebow will continue to consult for Cafe Chloe on catering menus and run cooking classes held at their secondary event space, Oliver & Rose, own private chef services.
