Hot Out of the Oven Update on East Village Bakery

Terryl Gavre (ACME Southern Kitchen, Cafe 222) is still proofing her new bakery but we're hearing that Bake Sale should open by late May.

The 1,110-square-foot bakery will provide baked goods to Gavre's other East Village spot, ACME Southern Kitchen, as well as her other holdings, including Cafe 222 and BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant.

When the 1950s-inspired storefront opens, Bake Sale Cafe & Bakerywill dispense breakfast pastries, cookies, cakes, pies and more. At lunch, take-away options will include sandwiches on homemade bread, soup and salad. It'll be open daily, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
