Giuseppe Ciuffa, the chef behind Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering which runs Caroline's Seaside Café and The San Diego Museum Of Art's Sculpture Court Café is gearing up to bring more eateries into another local cultural attraction.
Ciuffa, who is also a partner in the East Village's Bottega Americano project, is opening
Sonata Bistro and High Note Café in downtown's Symphony Towers.
Set to launch in a few weeks, both spaces are designed by Gensler Architects; Sonata Bistro will serve breakfast and lunch, from egg scrambles and breakfast parfaits with house made granola to tacos, soups, salads and sandwiches; for downtown dwellers looking for a quick dinner, Sonata will have rotisserie chickens with all the fixings available to carry out.
The more casual, High Note Café, located on the 12th floor, will do coffee and espresso drinks via Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, plus fresh baked pastries.
