Thai Restaurant to Swap Corners in the Gaslamp

Eater readers have been asking us to investigate what's going with the construction at the Blarney Stone in the Gaslamp.

The owner is renovating the space and plans to open a reimagined Irish pub within the next week or two, however, the bar with now share its 5th Avenue location with a restaurant whose move should be a relatively easy one.

Royal Thai Cuisine, who has operated a restaurant at 467 5th Avenue more than 20 years, will be shuttering and migrating across the street to take the corner spot next to the Irish pub.

Royal Thai says the move will happen at the end of May, though the bar will likely open before then.
