Downtown Craft Beer Shop Expanding to Golden Hill

The owners of a popular downtown craft beer store are expanding, and plan to update a Golden Hill market into their second location.

Krisp Beverages + Natural Foods is now operating Jaycee's Market on C Street and intends to renovate the 7,000-square-foot store and stock it with organic produce, natural food products and a full-service meat counter; they're aiming to have the shop turned around by mid-to-late June.

Co-owner Sadeer Mikhail, who runs Best Damn Beer Shop, the beer store-within-a-store at Krisp, says that this second Krisp will have 48-feet of cold beer cases, plus wine and spirits. Though the homebrew supply component of downtown store won't make the move to Golden Hill, Mikhail told Eater that he hopes to add a tasting room in the future to this spot, as well as prepared hot food for takeout.
