The L.W.P. Group (The Pearl) is targeting Monday, June 9 as the opening date for their new Tacos Perla in The North Parker.
The 750-square-foot taco shop just shared their menu, which will be overseen by The Pearl's exec chef, Jaison Burke. Chef Oso Campos of Tijuana's Tacos Kokopelli consulted here, and Tacos Perla will serve a rendition of Campos' Kraken taco with braised-then-grilled octopus, poblano, pesto and cheese. Perla's housemade corn tortillas will also be a vehicle for shrimp marinated in ginger, chilies and achiote and daily experimental tacos.
In the traditional taco category, Tacos Perla is offering carne asada and adobada with optional add-ons like cheese, chicharonnes or crickets. Beverages include housemade aguas frescas, local beer and micheladas. Operating hours will be Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight.
