Oceanside has scored the holy trinity of beer, tacos and sushi under one roof, which you will be able to enjoy starting Easter weekend.
Bull Taco opens a shiny new location in Encinitas today, but its Oceanside outpost is a triple threat; it houses the original Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub, where chef Davin Waite does his irreverent yet thoughtful takes on sushi, and will soon be home to a new nanobrewery.
Later this month, Waite's childhood friend Haven Harris will launch Beer Brewing Company in an extension of Bull Taco's building, which includes a small tasting room and a large outdoor patio.
Harris, who once worked in sales for Green Flash Brewing Company, has been brewing for ten years; on a compact 1BBL system, he'll brew a custom beer for all Bull Taco locations, a lime-infused blonde ale, and a light-bodied smoked porter for Wrench & Rodent. He plans to have seven house beers, and one guest beer on tap, which will be available as tasters, full pints and 22 ounce bomber-style growlers.
Among Beer Brewing Company's core beers will be his Perfect Pale Ale and Citra Pale; Harris told Eater that he's looking to open a larger brewing facility in an Oceanside warehouse to expand production. Operating hours for the new brewery are Thursday and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
