For their next project, CH Projects' principals Arsalun Tafazoli and Nathan Stanton are taking on another bar, though surprisingly, this one will be booze-free.
The cocktail specialists have announced plans to add a healthier component to their hospitality collective's roster, which includes Craft & Commerce, Polite Provisions, and Noble Experiment. Due in June is a yet-unnamed organic juice bar headed to 871 G Street in the East Village, into a space formerly occupied by Venissimo cheese before the shop shifted into their new digs in The Headquarters.
Tafazoli told Eater that the juice bar is an extension of his group's ongoing efforts to balance out the ill effects caused by late night drinking and eating, part and parcel of working in the bar industry. They plan to serve cold-pressed juice, using locally sourced produce, as well as smoothies based on homemade nut milks. The juice bar will also act as a commissary kitchen for their bars, whose cocktail lists center around fresh juices.
Frequent collaborator Paul Basile is signed on to design the 1,100-square-foot site.
