Today in questionable restaurant names, meet The Rusty Brothel, which softly opened this week.
The new burger and bar food spot shares space with Candelas, the Latin-inspired lounge which debuted downtown back in the late '90's.
To boost business, the owners have climbed aboard the craft beer train and redesigned half of Candelas' space as a bordello-themed beer bar; apparently, their building on 3rd Avenue was a brothel in the 1920's.
The Rusty Brothel has 20 taps, including some house beers being made for the bar at an Orange County brewery; for now they're open at 4 p.m., but will soon transition to all-day service and may dedicate the entire space to the bar if the concept is successful.
