Eater readers have been asking us to follow up on the shutter of Juan Chou in South Park and the rumored Chinese restaurant replacing it.
Thanks to some South Park insiders, we can confirm that an Asian restaurant is indeed headed to Juniper Street. Diana Mar Jip-Chuh, whose family has operated the House of Nine Dragons in Bonita for over 30 years, is planning to open a Pan-Asian bistro in the space.
Though the restaurant is yet-unnamed, Jip-Chuh told Eater that the menu will include Chinese and Korean cuisine, as well as sushi. She emphasized that the food won't be Asian fusion, but rather, authentic versions of various regional dishes.
The new eatery will likely open in two months, after a light remodel that includes some cosmetic changes to lighten up the interior and the addition of some all-important woks to the kitchen. They expect to do bustling takeout service, and plan to offer delivery to the surrounding area.
