Stehly Farms Bringing New 5,000sf Market to Kensington

New, 3 comments

Less than a year after opening their first local produce market in the Bay Park area, and on the heels of announcing a new juice bar for South Park (opening in late March), Stehly Farms Market is endeavoring on their biggest project yet, a full-service grocery store headed to Kensington.

Powered by Stehly Farms Organics and brothers Jerome and Noel Stehly, the market will encompass 5,000-square-feet in the base of the new Kensington Commons, a mixed-use building currently under construction on Adams Avenue.

Jerome Stehly told Eater that the market will stock all organic produce from local farms, including the Stehly's 300-acre avocado and citrus farm and Suzie's Farm, as well as gourmet grocery items, meat and cheese, plus beer and wine. Fun fact, local Vesper Vineyards is run by another member of the Stehly family.

The Kensington market will also house a juice bar and deli, serving made-to-order salads and sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, gelato and other specials. Stehly plans to incorporate both indoor and outdoor seating into the market, which is aiming for an August 1 opening.
