On readers' requests, we've been tracking the progress of the Cohn Restaurant Group's new offering to Ocean Beach, OB Warehouse, and recently stopped in for a spot check on the project, which was first announced last summer.
The hospitality group owns the 6,000-square-foot building and has been focusing on launching other projects, so even though the space looks fairly finished, they haven't set an official launch date; we're hearing that it might open in April.
In the meantime, designer Philippe Beltran is continuing to work his magic on the restaurant's loft-like interior, adding custom art and vintage pieces found during scouting trips.
A shiny half of an Airstream provides a peek into the kitchen; the menu is still being finalized, another reason for the delay, but the food will be casual and approachable bar food to go along with their 24 beer taps.
