Sean Patrick Langlais, the longtime exec chef at Oceanaire who was attached to the since-canceled Roosterfish project (now Water Grill), is staying in the neighborhood. Langlais has been appointed the executive chef for what's going into the space vacated by Donovan's Prime Seafood on 5th Avenue, another outpost for Encinitas' Union Kitchen & Tap, which is projected for an April opening. Over at Oceanaire, his exec sous chef Brian Bonney has stepped up to helm the kitchen. [EaterWire]
