The Flight Path, a new downtown wine bar, has touched down on Kettner; it officially opens in the McClintock Warehouse building tonight.
Proprietor Tammy Hoops has a background in wine sales; her sleek, modern bar will stock 75 bottles from around the globe, have 25 wines available by the glass and feature flights centered around different wine regions.
Open from 4 to 10 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday and 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, The Flight Path is adjacent to a Stone Company Store, and the brewery's patrons will be able to order takeout from the wine bar's menu.
Consulting chef Malissa Sorsby's wine-friendly menu ranges from burrata cheese with different accompaniments to dips, spreads, salads and sliders.
The bar's 4 to 6 p.m. happy hour includes a glasses of wine priced at $6 "business class" or $8 "first class"; Hoops promises the wine selections will be more esoteric than your typical happy hour chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon.
